因應昌鴻颱風來襲，新北市長朱立倫於昨（十）日至萬里區公所、野柳漁港、金山區公所、石門區公所及三芝區公所視察昌鴻颱風防颱整備作業，並關心沿海地區外籍漁工安置情形，他要求，各公所多加注意午後大雨及沿海強風，並慎防山區土石流的發生。對此，公所人員及相關單位表示都已做好萬全整備，確保民眾平安。
朱立倫說，午後風雨會越來越大，靠近大屯山系的山區也會下起大雨，提醒民眾應防範豪雨，避免到海邊或山區，以策安全，特別是北海岸沿岸有很多觀光景點，民眾或遊客千萬不要到岸邊觀浪。他也慰勉各公所同仁、國軍、警消、海巡署等單位的辛勞，並關心外籍漁工安置情形，指示相關單位嚴加防範因豪雨造成山區土石流及沿海大浪，預先做好疏散及撤離的準備工作，保護民眾安全。
朱市長昨日上午九時率同民政局長江俊霆、消防局長黃德清坐鎮市府災害應變中心主持第三工作會議，並與中央災害應變中心同步視訊。朱立倫說，北北基等縣市決定停止上班上課，顯示颱風有其危險性，他呼籲民眾提高警覺，千萬不要輕忽颱風所帶來的危險。
